France President Emmanuel Macron who embarked on a short visit to Nigeria received an intriguing welcome at the African Shrine . The elated president was visiting the country a second time, after he served at the Nigerian embassy few years ago.He was thrilled by Femi Kuti's mind blowing performance.Speaking at the Shrine where he was flanked by the Lagos State governor Ambode among other dignitaries, he says “I’m very happy to be here with you tonight,” as the crowd cheered

He asked for everyone concerned to help build a new common narrative for the continent.
“You have to recognise the bad and negative pages of this history, but you have to move forward,” he continued as applause rang around him.
Macron had earlier in the day visited the Nation’s capital, where he met with President Muhammadu Buhari.
He also said he was happy to return to the country. In 2002, he worked as an intern in the French embassy in Nigeria.
