Fast rising actor, OC Ukeje has denied that he felt anything sexual while filming a love scene with Bimbo Akintola on the set of the anticipated musical flick, Hoodrush. Speculations had been rife on the social media that the AMBO Winner, OC Ukeje must have felt ‘something sexual’ while acting the love scene with the talented actress, Bimbo Akintola in Hoodrush. The speculation came about as a result of the suggestive location pictures released from the movie.
‘’Acting alongside Bimbo Akintola was not a mean feat’he said. ‘She delivered her role perfectly, we had to act out some love scenes and I must confess many thoughts ran through my mind, I would say there was chemistry between us on that set but it was purely professional. The speculation was as a result of the position of the picture. We had many people on set; the only thing on my mind was how to match her acting-for-acting. I enjoyed all the moments on the set and if asked to do another movie with her again, I will not object, she is such a lovable person aside being a fantastic actress’’ he concluded.
Hoodrush is a musical movie which features an impressive and vibrant cast of Bimbo Akintola, O.C Ukeje, Chelsea Eze, Gabriel Afolayan, Bolanle Ninolowo (CEO of Diesel music), Ifeoma Agu, Lee Byoma and others. The movie was produced from the stable of Flipsyde Studios, an entertainment company managed by the director of the movie, Dimeji Ajibola. The movie was premiered and released to the cinema on Friday, October 12, 2012.
For Bimbo Akintola, acting is not new as she has starred in several blockbuster movies with top actors and actresses before now; she starred alongside prolific actor cum politician, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) in Out of Bounds and also starred in the advocacy flick, The Mourning After, a movie that sheds light on the numerous pains of widowhood. For O.C as he is fondly called by friends, he is still learning the ropes in the industry but at a fast pace too, he has few scores of movies to his credit, he played the lead role in Two Brides and a Baby alongside Stella Damasus and Kalu Ikeagwu and few others.
Bimbo Akintola played the role of a ‘’sugar mummy’’ to O.C Ukeje in Hoodrush, the University of Lagos graduate described the connection he had with the talented actresses on the set of the movie as purely professional
