A housewife on Tuesday committed suicide in her apartment at Ilisan-Remo, Ikenne Local Council of Ogun State.Mrs. Omolola Atejioye, 35, was found dangling from the ceiling at 5:30p.m. by her husband, Ayodele Atejioye, a member of staff of Babcock University, Ilisan Remo, when he returned from work to their apartment along Ago Iwoye Road.
The husband was said to have found his late wife’s body dangling in the room, with a rope tied to the ceiling, when he forced the door to their apartment opened. The deceased, who until her death was a petty trader, did not leave behind any suicide note.
Omolola’s husband was said to have reported the incident to policemen in Ilisan, who rushed to the scene and took her remains to the mortuary of the Babcock varsity.The state acting Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident. He said Omolola’s husband reported his discovery at home to the police.
