Femi Fani Kayode's pretty new wife Precious Chikwendu who delivered a bouncing baby boy for him few months ago,was filled with joy yesterday when she went to meet her husband who had been in prison for two weeks,but was granted bail.A Federal High Court in Lagos granted Femi Fani-Kayode bail in the sum of N250m - for N4.9bn fraud charged leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).The sureties must be owners of landed properties within the court’s jurisdiction. They are also required to present evidence of tax clearance in the state.
Justice Muslim Hassan granted him bail with two sureties in like sum and ordered Fani-Kayode to deposit his passport in the custody of the court pending the outcome of the case.
Also admitted to bail in the same conditions were a former Minister of State for Finance, Nenadi Usman, and Danjuma Yusuf, who were standing trial along with Fani-Kayode.
